Will We Ever Overcome?

jokester.jpgA reader sent me this story (here) about a businessman named William R. Farr (in photo with wife) who made a racially sensitive joke about about Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). The joke was making reference to the White House saying "they're going to have to change the name of that building if Obama's elected." Sounds like a very poor joke that raises questions about racism once again. Some of his peers seem to think he didn't mean anything by the comment, although it left one of them gasping.

Questions:

Do you think the joke was just that or something worse? Do you think this type of behavior will continue if Obama wins? Please leave comments and/or suggestions.
