Is There Really An Infidelity Epidemic?

having-an-affair.jpg

According to a report in the UK(here), the country is in the middle of an infidelity epidemic. Many also believe that this is the case in the US. I have also found evidence that many married people want to have a no strings attached relationship for sex, but do not wish to leave their spouses. According to the story, the internet is a major contributor to this issue and fertile grounds to find willing partners who want the same thing.

Question:

Is this issue of epidemic proportions? Please comment or make suggestions.
